TAFEL VAN VIJF creates poetic musical theatre for children from 4 to 12 years old. TAFEL VAN VIJF works with clear texts, live music, and experiments with the visual arts.

Children have the right to be confronted with the arts - the right to receive stories and images that evoke emotions through which they will grow stronger on the one hand and more sensitive on the other.

We look at life as a path full of challenging obstacles. Our productions are about confronting these obstacles. We show children that fighting them is a good thing. Through our work we try to allow children to experience that, as human beings, they are strong enough to cope with life - even when it is frightening or upsetting.

We produce one new production a year for small venues. The production from the previous year is always revived. Half of our performances are for school children, always performed in a theatre.
